The story of Industria Ceraria Migone dates back to 1866 when it was founded by Eugenio Migone Senior in Florence. From the outset Migone specialised in the production of soaps and candles; indeed, in the early 1900s it owned the exclusive rights in Italy to produce “Candor” soap powder and the “Fulgor” soap bar. After the Second World War it began making candles for churches and for interiors, as well as coconut oil shaving soaps, wax rings for yarn winding machines and tallow, the base material used to make candles and soaps. Today the company continues to evolve thanks to its ongoing research and its combination of artisan knowledge with the “handmade” tradition.
